Good launch & nice shifting. I was wondering what kind of rear tires you're using? They didn't look like slicks but had good traction. I noticed at your warm up that the tires were not smoking, no smoke yet you got good traction.

I'm assuming this was done with a DE engine. It had to have a lot of work besides just a supercharger & bolt ons. ???? More info please???

I'd like to see a Z like yours at the tracks that I go to.

well they are Mickey Thompson E/T Street 16" On Dodge Caravan Wheels

the tires were already hot. i took 3 runs in a row. (run - drive back and run again and drive back and run again) so i had a little heat soak in the last run.
would have been the best run if i could have had a break to cool the car down. i did 12.311 in the first. then 12.282@114.29 with 1.776sek 60ft and the last one was 12.292@112.xxmph with 1.726sec on 60ft. would have been the best if the heat soak didnt happen in 4. gear.

anyways yes its a 2005 touring de

i have vortech v2
dc sport headers
blitz exhaust
kinetix V Plenum
Walbro fuel pumps
gtr r35 injectors 570cc
2.87 gtm pulley.
stock belt with it and stock spark plugs

was doing 7psi on the 3.33 pulley with stock injectors and now i am only doing 9psi. dont know why i dont go higher. cuz normally 2.87 pulleys get you to 11-12psi normally....and running on 20" XXR 526 wheels in the front.

why do you think i have so many mods?

why u interested. u going for a supercharger?

yes well we dont have any track in iceland yet. mayb we will have one next year though hehe

I saw your video & et time and liked them. Even supercharged, a DE Z going 12.'2's is very good.

I'm not interested in supercharging, just appreciate a good drag racer. I was into N/A Z drag racing but it was an HR so doing my times in N/A trim was not that difficult. My car was an 08 & is on the N/A top 25 list under Andre12031948. I was just checking out the Supercharged list & your times would be right near the top.

I could see how those big front wheels/tires put then help transfer weigh on to the rear tires. Sounded like you're reving it at or past 5,000 rpm. when you dump the clutch at the start.

Keep up the good work. Best of luck.

I first started 5 years ago with 12.9s. After 2/3 years I got it down to 12.508 @ 110mph. Since it's an N/A car I needed gears, 3:90's. That & slicks were my best mods. I also had very few mods so the 60' time & shifting was VERY important. 4,500 to 5,000 rpm/out of the line, about the same as you.

When I changed to 4:08 gears and heated the tires much better(line lock + water) then I left the line at apx. 5,500 rpm & real hard. That's how I got into the low 12.4's. With stock axles & Nissan gears & lsd, I NEVER had a problem/breakage

If you're NOT going at the finish line in 4th gear at almost the red line then maybe a small gear change might help your times. I understand that supercharged cars might not need gear BUT if ^^first sentence^^ try a small change.

I had problems finding mods for my N/A car (so I didn't So for a supercharged car others here might chime in to help you. There's also a moderator here that knows what to do. I would contact (PM) the # one supercharged guy on the top 25 list. He is very friendly and his car does 11.2's....

Someone WILL help you, plus you are doing great already.

Smile First time at drag strip. Street tires. Boltons.

So i went drag racing for first time.
Started off at 13.9 and stayed there for a bit
Then i ran a 13.46 which i think will just make the bottom of the bolt on list.
Here are my specs.

2004 base 350z coupe
6MT with a 3.3FD VLSD from an auto.
Stock block
Kinetix v2 upper plenum
Ztube and k&n drop in
Meghan headers
Z1motorsport test pipes
3" straight pipe
Unknown brand street tires i bought used.

Not sure if this stuff matters for list but i also gutted the trunk and removed passenger seat and air filter for my best pass.
Im on mobile atm, so sorry for any poor typing format, i linked a picture of my timeslip but its a facebook link and i dont know if its going to work.
If it doesnt work i will fix it later from pc.

especially with a 3.3 rear gears(is that correct?) With 3:90 gears & drag radials you can do very low 13's for sure.

Default Sunday I was at Raceway Park for 17th annual compact/imports nationals

It was mobbed !!!! Car shows & drag racing(mostly Hondas

I was pleasantly surprised to see some Z's drag racing. I believe with my 370 there were 4 or 5. 3 370'z, 1 350z race car & not sure if there was another regular street 350z.

The one 350z (race car) might have also been a street car but it was Turbo, well modded and trucked in. Friendly group so we talked. He has been doing mid 11's with poor traction. My opinion to him was that nothing will hold that car except slicks. He tried drag radials with same results. High mph so I'm sure I'll see him/his car doing 10's very soon.

Beside the regular classes for race cars there were two brackets for street/drag guys. Bracket ONE was for 13.99 and quicker (some were in the 10's/11's). Bracket TWO was for slower than 13.99. My 370z was in bracket ONE, the other 2 370z were in bracket TWO but was happy to see one of the guys turn a better time & was able to drop into bracket ONE. It was good to see 370z at the drags but being + & - 14 second times One even had some mods.

Anyway with tons of cars/classes & break downs where much cleaning was involved, the racing day was very, very long. The track by LAW had to close/stop by 7:30pm. Finally at 6:30 pm I & bracket ONE cars were called up for round 3 elimination. I won my first two so I joined the line because winning bracket ONE gave you that big trophy and $1,000 bucks

The line was still very long & there was talk of no way having enough time to finish the bracket. According to the track & TOWN rules, if racing is not completed by 7:30pm you'll get a rain check BUT NO MONEY !!!! After what appeared like a slow down and not sure when bracket ONE begins/continues with the elimination, I and some others decide that no chance, O time left to finish, so we pulled out and went home.

Oh well, at least it was a lot of fun.....
