Thanks for all the compliments! since then I went another day and got four runs in but only got 13.7 13.7 13.9 and a 14.0 (spun a lot) so hopeful another day with a better launch I can be lower 13's... my shifts are fast and the last 1/8th mile im running strong, i just need a better launch to get lower i think...

THANKS AGAIN!!!!

OH P.S. IF YOU WANTED TO KNOW... I BEAT THAT EVO TWICE, BUT THE FORD LIGHTING AND THE SRT-4 IN THE VIDEO KICKED MY ASS LOL

You will find a day when staging pad preparation is ideal and run 2.0 second 60 foot times.

Slip the clutch. Thats the best advice anyone can give. If you are spinning you're trying to put down more power than the track can hold.

Don't burnout to heat the tires, just scrub them clean, I didn't watch the video but I'm guessing its a smokey burnout from the pics. Just a quick scrub will suffice.

Stock tire pressures all around work fine as well.

Whats the ideal launch @ rpms on a stock 350z? I dont want to let off the clutch too high and just have a bunch of slip or have a slow start.

And oh yea awesome time for a first run ever! Congrats man.

I don't even bother with 2nd gear. My tires felt greasy the one time I tried it so I went back to first gear spins.

The key is honestly in rolling off the clutch smoothly and into the throttle smoothly so you don't jerk the tires free from the track. Think of the tires as a rubberband stretched to near their breaking point. You want to gently add more power to them, not just jerk on them.

Depends on tires, tire pressure and staging pad conditions. Try 2, 3 and 4,000 RPM. What works for me may not work for you.
