350Z on PassTime :(

I was watching the drag racing show on the Speed Channel called PassTime(spinoff of Pinks) and there was a silver Z that got picked to make a run.

It was a N/A Z and he embarrassed the heck out of the Z community by running a 15 something at 92 miles per hour. Is this guy a member here?

Did anybody see that episode??

Where did the race occur? There are some tracks in the US where a Z would struggle to break into 14's stock.

Why would you come here and lie. We all know DA and track prep mean absolutely nothing, especially if you're gods gift to drag racing....

Yes, that was jest.

The majority of imports seem to embarrass themselves whenever they get picked to be on that show. I remember seeing some evo that was running 30 psi on his stock block blow hit motor at the line.

Would love to see a stock Z do better than a 14.8 right now in Vegas in this summer heat.

Not everyone has downhill tracks with good prep and DA...

I pulled no worse than a 14.2 last summer in Florida when I had only test pipes and it was 98 to 100 degrees out. Normal time with test pipes is around 13.9 to 13.8 in the winter. So it does affect you some but not bad enough to pull a 15 something.

Here is a link to another site with a picture of the Z in the staging lane...driver's screen name if Fidel on that site. Looks like the guy posting the pictures ran a 12 in his 300.

I don't think I'd hit 14.8 right now.

Just saw it, not only was he slow but did he say electric supercharger??!!

...love watching the show to see the sleepers, i was impressed with the stock suspension 101mm turbo 79 camaro trapping 165mph! I also heard Ken Herring say on the show "I'm not a fan of imports" but then said he owns a 350Z himself.
