we'll since EVERYONE seems to think the 370Z is a far more superior car than the previous HR motor itself..one of my buddies picked up a sport 370Z and we took our new Zs to the track for the first time.I had a 03 prior to my 07.
We was able to run twice that night,I won both of those races...we did two interstate pulls also on the way home.One from a 55 -105 I pulled one car on the 370Z...from a 65-125 punch I pulled on the 370 about 1 3/4 car lengths.
Opinions?Mods to my 07 is JIC exhaust..besides that STOCK..his Z stock.

start whoopdy do..times stil is a time it doesnt start til you leave...notice how much I wheel hop..isnt much on the 60ft...at a roll there isnt much to it..i even gave him the punch...theres only one gear switch between pulls...not to difficult.Just 3rd-4th pulls
You achieved your goal... you started a debate... unfortunately it's not about the cars, it's about the chick you were racing against...with reactions times like that off the line, my cousins stock Sentra could put up a good fight...
People, your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. Your elapsed time (ET) starts when you start moving, not when the green light lights up.
OP, it looks like your friend just straight up blows at launching and shifting. I've beaten GT500, Vettes, countless LS engines, most V8 Mustangs, Ariel Atom, etc at the drag strip. That doesn't mean my car's faster than every single car I've beaten.
And as far as street racing goes, My350Z.com does not condone street racing in any way. Let's not post anything related to that.
He claimed to have a issue with 1st gear popping to neutral once it was launched and started to wheel hop issue with the new Z by chance to unfold?claimed it happend 2-4 runs made that day
That was his first drag race run ever in that car. I believe he ran a 12 sec run later that night.

How do you rev match when you upshift? Rev matching occurs when you down shift (by revving your engine to a higher rpm to match with the corresponding lower gear from a higher one).

I ran a 8.4@83 N/A long ago with 4 bolt-ons on my DE. I wouldn't flaunt beating a 370Z (or even put down a Z34) with with a 9 sec 1/8 mile run. I'm just saying.
