Battle of the Imports - Sacramento Raceway - Sunday August 9th
Sunday August 9th marks the 4th event for the Battle of the Imports 2009 Season at Sacramento Raceway. Final BOTI makes its way to west coast for the 2009 season, so that of you waiting for them to be back, the time is now. The Sacramento event each year grows better and better, what will happen this year to set it apart from the other Battle events. The Norris camp will be making its way to Wild West to take on racers out there. With Jonathon Reynolds running into 1 issue after another this year will this open up the door at Sacramento for Lisa Kubo to land a win at a Battle event. In the Street Performance class who will step up and taken the challenge from the always tough, Loan Nguyen. Which heavy hitters will we see in the Pro Classes, we know Norris will be there in Pro-Stock, but who will take on the challenge of running in the Pro-Import class?
Also the car show will be in full effect all competing for the Buddy Club best Team award. The girls will be out in force for the swim suit contest and Go-Go dancers on the Battle Stage.
Mark your calendars and we will see you Sunday, August 9th at Sacramento Raceway.
Do you have a link to the results and/or a write-up from last year? I'm curious how fast the cars are, how many show up, and if Sac Raceway can be organized and have enough staff for the import crew.

I was there two years ago and there was an awesome turnout, and the staff worked out great. Last year I didnt make it, but I will see if I can find it somewhere for you.
Believe it or not, the mid-to-high 90-degree temperatures of California's Central Valley on August 9 at Sacramento Raceway Park were a lot more tolerable than the triple digits Battle of the Imports faced at its previous round in Texas. In Ennis, it felt like everything was melting, and racer performances reflected the challenges of ambient heat soak. At least in Sacto there was the peace of mind that the mercury was under 100 (for whatever that's worth).
The fourth event out of six in 2009 for the championship drew the usual Cali/West Coast set, with past-gen. notables like Lisa Kubo (Street Comp) and Bisi Ezerioha (Pro Stock) sharing the spotlight with contemporary heavyweights like Mike Michelson (Pro Stock) and Javier Loarca (Street Comp).
