just curious to see what your thoughts are on the capability of a NA runnin pretty fast 1/4. Since motortrend clocked a stock z at 13.7.

13.7x is the limit as far as I am concerned, with stock tires, stock interior, etc. It seems to be the general consensus that the absolute best drivers have been able to pull 13.7x and no better.

So when did MT get a 13.7? All the mags I have seen have horrible quarter mile times, like 14.2-14.4. Pretty pathetic for "professionals".

Until everyone told me that sub 1.8 60's were almost impossible on motor for the z, I thought a bolton NA 350 would be able to hit 12.9s with the right driver and weather. With a lot of guys trapping 104-105 I would think thats an easy 12 second pass with a 1.8 60'.
Luckily for me, their were a few pioneers in the bolt on mustang hunt for the 12's that didnt mind sharing the combo they were running with everybody.

they are full of it...I pulled a 1.82 60' on skinny, not warmed up slicks with stock everything else...A good clutch and bigger warmed up slicks and you'll easily see 60's in the 1.7x range.

Just realized, about a month late, you were asking for NA, not stock numbers.

I guess that makes up our difference, I ran the 13.49 on heavy 18" drag radials with a 1.91 60'... Maybe with Slicks I would be in the 13.3's... Oh well, still great times....
