Default Steering angle mod: before and after pics

hey guys. i had alex do my steering angle mod for my z before dd27. i was so impressed with how much more angle i was able to get and it really helped. its soo much easier to hold a drift with this mod. definately a must have if you want angle.

currently i dont know who offers inner tie rod ends for our, z's. i have heard of jic's, but havent seen them myself in person.

alex uses tein s14 inner tie rods and cut and welded them to fit the z. he also used a 6mm spacer to provide the extra angle. i was skeptical at this because of the welding, but after i have seen personally 3 cars use this and after my friend tested them for a good time, i decided i may as well go ahead and try it out. 2 months later, and 3k miles later, i have no issues(knock on wood). i just have the great angle and a big smile on my face.

you can see from the photos, that the front lower suspension was not visible before, now you can clearly see it as well as the brake lines

if you want to order these, drop alex a e-mail at alex@battleversion.com
or you can visit his website for his products: www.battleversion.com
anywho, here are the pics:

battleversion also makes rear camber arms that are way better then what most people are using now.

i have them as well, although i haven't had time in the last month or two to install them. i have however had s14 tein tie rods on my other drift car, and good god they kick ***. its an r33 gtst, so it has the hicas. with drift tie rods, lots of cutting and grinding, the super hicas, it can turn in tiny circles. turning the wheel on that car and driving and tiny circles makes the occupants laugh. that and drifting while looking perpendicular to the car out the side windows you have so much angle.

i need to go unwrap that battle version box and go do some grinding i think.

a friend of mine was also running these on his z the past month or two, and he loves them as well. they kick ***.

bwaahhh i just got happy... for some reason i was in the dark about this, thats what pittsburgh does. So what are my options for this mod. could i buy the tein s14 tie rods and send them to battle version or does he need the car? Could a how to be a possability? can't weight to get this rolling, steering angle has always been something i was'nt happy with on the z.

To those who have done this, what effects did it have on alignment, drivability, etc.
thanks

got an alignment as part of the install
you cold techincally do it yourself, but alex will sell them to you already modified, youll still need to cut your stops in half to make use of the extra angle

we were refering to the steering bump stops, not the suspension bump stops. so yes, you would still need to cut them

So when are we going to see these have a more regular production? And how big can you go in front before you'll be rubbing like crazy at full lock (I know you commented in the other thread, just thought I'd ask more specifically here)?
