why were you practicing after it rained, thats one of the main reasons you spun out so much, a stock z has plenty enough torque to get it sideways when its dry. and yours looked and sounded s/c'd. when its wet your front tires hold almost no traction making it harder to go in the direction you wa
and whats up with that wing bro, lol

I've always had a hard time explaining this but try to ease up on the steering wheel. The steering wheel will do most of the work for you as long as you have decent grip on the front wheels and your throttle input is on point, you just need to get going in the right direction and just adjust accordingly after that pretty much (yes even in the wet, as long as your front tires arent slipping).
Like I said I've always been horrible at explaining it so you should just watch some in car footage of drivers with similar power. Here is an example http://vimeo.com/3078403 if you skip to 5:30 there is some in car of Aaron Losey and as you can see he does most of his low speed steering input with one hand lol. Seems very relaxed and smooth. It comes with experience but thats what you should be shooting for (minimum steering input, not steering with one hand lol).

I completely understand that. After I fight for a few minutes trying to figure it out with just the verbal instructions from my teacher - he then takes the wheel and shows me...he makes it look so easy & relaxed - I still have a lot more to learn

I always practice when there is a lot of snow in an emty parking lot - and once I wanted to try when ther was ice rain - bad idea !!!
If you can't control the car anyways you should not try it on ice !
motavating man. i was learning on my own and it wasnt all that of a good idea. i read and read and thought it wasnt all that hard but when i got to doing it all i was doing was half as donuts. sad i know.
