Default Built 5AT from 2004 G35

Hey guys,

I'm not 100% sure if the 5AT's are 100% the same. But Here goes anyway.

Selling my 5AT as I'm going with more power than I really want to put threw this thing. Heavy duty gears, band, throttle body (Solenoids etc.), and an EDGE torque converter built for a street application of a high HP (Talked to the owner and had it built to spec). 2800 stall.

I spared no expense on this. I just replaced the band and first and second gear to make sure it would be in the best shape possible when I sell it (0 miles on that) Everything else has 8000 miles on it.

Asking $3500, Not splitting anything up at this point. Unless you want the tranny without the TQ converter-- then i will sell that separately.

I did it right, and all together. If you're doing a lower boost turbo application or supercharger build- this thing is for you- and it's practically brand freaking new.

Selling due to 6MT swap.

I'm open to offers, I really don't want to sit on this thing forever.

I can get more information on the shift kit he put in there. It's a transmission there's no magic number. The more torque you put through a tranny the less its life is going to have. Heavier duty parts simply don't exist than what was put in here. Replaced every gear with heavy duty gears, heavy duty band, edge 2800 stall TQ converter.

The problem with these AT's is the clutch packs are only so big and will get hot regardless of what their made of. So going for a 500tq+ build (like I did) just won't work. Thing ran like a champion at 425-450 tq though. I'd keep it there- check your fluids often and enjoy the hell out of a fast VQ35 that you can cruise in.

What month was your car built? Info can be found in the drivers side door. If your car was mfg after 10/03 your car is a 04.5 and the trans is different from a 04 mfg before 10/03.

It's not a .5

It was made in oct 2003. It's barely a 2004
