Stillen VB (may need solenoid)
Up for sale is a Stillen valve body; basically like a Transgo, but Stillen does the mod. I purchased it from a member here last year and put it in my FX. It worked great for the last 6 months until I got a P1764 code a couple of weeks back. That code is for direct clutch solenoid so there is an issue there. Basically when the code pops up, car stops shifting and starts and stays in 4th. Either the solenoid is bad or there is a loose connection, I'm not sure which one. If I turned the car off, it would go away for a little while then come back so it's not total failure.
Long story short, I swapped my OEM VB in. It's an FX and I decided not to boost it which was why I got this Stillen in the first place. Other than that one solenoid issue, everything was working great. Shifts were much quicker and firmer than with OEM VB. The solenoids are replaceable so if you have a spare VB, you could make this work. Or you could raid this one for parts.
This came out of an '06 Z and has the TCM integrated. Not sure if it will fit the '05; Nissan may have changed the resistance in one of the solenoids in '06. It will also fit 06-07 G35's since they are DE's. Or 06-08 FX since those are DE's as well. My FX is an '07. Guy I bought it from put 3K mi. after Stillen built it and I did ~3500 miles.
Asking $200 shipped which is less than the core charge most places that rebuild VB's want. Stillen charges $700 for the work, so if you have some mechanical abilities, you could fix this one and save a bunch of money. Or the parts on there could be useful. They don't sell the solenoids separately so if you needed some.

Sorry for the late reply, wasn't on the forums. But the solenoids on are not modified by Stillen, they're OEM so a stock one should work. Same for any VB mod, they modify the passages/springs, not solenoids. It is for the RE5R05A transmission and the newest version of that before they went to the 37's. I had this in my '07 FX with VQ35DE. The '07 M35 has the same engine/transmission as the '07 FX so should be fine.
