some people think this is cheesy, but it's never not worked in the past. Once I have complete data I sort through it all and find the fastest continuous lap as well as I get an idea of the fastest optimum lap given the cars current set up, and my skills and consistency rates.
The fastest lap real lap I managed to put in last time was a 1:18.45. This was filled with mistakes in the time attack run. And I had a similar time in practice with traffic in the way. Infact on lap 3 of my time attack run I was on track for a 1:17.6 until I killed the last corner by diving in too deep and powering out too hard too early.
The fastest continuous lap I put in was a 1:17.55 in practice. Of course I have to move the start finish to a fake position, in this case to erase the effects of traffic and driving errors. Here I had about 1 and a half laps of clean air and the car went really quick. Oh yeah, rev matching sucks cause my gas pedal broke off just before this lap and I was adjusting my feet for that.
I don't think this is useless because it at least shows me that I can do it. Builds my confidence.
The car and I should be capable of 1:16's if the R comps are able to deliver the same grip as last time.

The 2013 Cscs season has come to a completion. It was a year filled with many great learning experiences, and met a lot of great people along the way.
The competition in the Street rwd class was tough and really heated up at the finale. Qualifying/practice saw P2 through P7 all within a half second of each other.
I was able to set a new pb of 1.23:2 at TMP in practice. It was a cool 13 Celsius and it was difficult to get heat in the tires. Unfortunately I slipped a bit in the official timed segment and put in a 1.23:6 and subsequently finished in 5th. Nonetheless I was able to finish 3rd in season points.

I've seen a picture of it laid out over top the existing track, but I can't find it right now.

Found video on youtube of someone lapping on DDT with the full new layout. Fresh pavement looks awesome. You can see that they utilized the bank from the old oval track on turn 1.

Mosport GP lap
Ran a 1.39.75 today. Conditions were cool but dry and sunny.
Knocked a big chunk of my previous best but mechanical gremlins shut my down for day.
It was great to be back on a track!

Not temperature related. I added a Setrab oil cooler setup last year to ensure temperatures wouldn't be a problem after talking with Smasher.
Haven't heard from Speedstar about what the issue is yet. Sounded like a valve or valve spring. A metallic clicking starting that was RPM dependant. Not what you want to hear.
The day was awesome though and the car is getting so dialled.
Also added seats this year. Can't believe how much more relaxed you stay when you don't waste energy stabilizing yourself. Huge improvement.
Hopefully the shop will let me know in the next few days what I am in for. (Fingers crossed!)
