From what I have discovered from what I believe to be reliable sources, is that due to high heat and stress, the rods will get soft and bend or actually pull appart.

You can always go with an ultra high expensive Ti rod that will holdup, but in that case you'd want to spend good $ on a billet crank also if looking for ultimate NA Power

We'll be tossing our hats in that ring to

Plans are for multiple stages of VQ engines including strokers. How close are we? We already are assembling VQ strokers and plan to release/ship within weeks. Pricing is yet to come, should be similar to our current 2JZ program.

Waiting for the machine work to be completed.. I had to get another crank.. because the other one had some issues when we had it checked. No big deal, though.. it's taken care of.

Sorry wasn't my intention to jack your thread nor was it my attention to make an announcement otherwise I would've started another thread.

prolly travis got a 4 liter crank and found out the crank will contact the side of the oil pan... then gave up... a better choice would be an HR block with GTR crank (380RS) motor

DE guys wont really have luck trying to take vq40 parts and making a stroker since the vq40's block and everything is pretty much the same as the HR motor
