Default What Oil Pan baffles do you think are the most affective?

I am just doing some research on the oil pans that are avalible for our cars right now and the APS one seems to have some nice baffles. I know that Top Secret makes a baffled pan and so does Power Enterprises. I know that ARC makes a pan but I have never seen what the baffles look like.

Please give your input and post pictures of what the baffles look like if you can.

So the ARC basically has no baffles it looks like. Are the APS baffles well designed?

correct the ARC has no baffles - its designed simply to increase capacity.

As to whether the APS is good or not, I have no idea.

The APS has baffles and is good quality, you can see pictures of it on their website. We have a Power Enterprise oil pan in-stock which is plus one quart and also has baffles. If your interested let me know and I could get some pictures of it posted for you.

Thanks,
Gary

Here are those pics of the Power Enterprise Oil Pan which show the baffles and cooling fins. This one comes with block-off plates for the oil line holes, drain plug with copper washer and mounting bolts. If you have any questions please ask.

Thanks,
Gary

can you please explain how the baffles were designed to flow oil during acceleration and hard cornering in the PE pan?

they are not there to enhance flow, they are there to prevent sloshing

The baffles were designed to help contain the oil around the oil pickup during acceleration, braking and cornering. The oil pan is not designed to flow oil, rather keep a constant supply to the pickup.

That is what I ment. The baffles are designed to flow oil into a somewhat contained area so there is constant oil for the pickup during acceleration. Lol. Thanks.

Is there a problem with the Z and oil starvation in corners/acceleration?

Depends on how hard you drive it. If pushed really hard it could become an issue. These pans are a good insurance policy to help prevent the possibility of oil starvation.
