Default How's the Tomei 1.5 diff

for daily driving? Will it need much maintenance? Any reason to get a Quaife instead? I like the lower price, of course. Locking with one wheel offloaded is a plus, too. This would be going into a base model with an open diff. Any install experience is welcome.

Daily driving the Quaife 100%...the Tomei is a clutch type and will demonstrate the characteristics of a clutch type diff (pop and lock), to what degree depends on how you stack the plates. Unless you are driving hard on track or autox you arent going to lift a wheel. Although I prefer clutch type units, for a daily car the decision is easy...Torsen unit all the way.
