Aftermarket head gaskets for VQ35?
Are their any readily available copper head haskets for the VQ35 on the market yet?
When you o-ring, are the grooves cut into the head or the block?
I was told that if I used the factory multi layer steel gasket with head studs, not bolts, and torque the heads down excessivly, that I would not need the copper head gasket and o-ringing?
I theorize that the o-rining would be better with the open deck beacuse it would also help prevent cylinder wiggle under high pressure? Like the next best think to a deck plate?
Does anyone have real world racing experiance with this that could offer advice? I am looking so push ~ 600whp on a hybrid VQ35 block with VQ30 heads, full built.

The VQ is a tough SOB, I give full credit to www.jandssafeguard.com for helping my VQ stay together! If your gonna boost up stock VQ35 it would be a worth while investment.

I doubt aftermarket gaskets exist or even more so that anyone in here would even know or care if they did.
The stock ones will hold more than the engine itself.
You can o-ring either the block or the head. In the case of the VQ i would say do the block as to add structural integrity to the wet deck but you will need custom or aftermarket gaskets if you do so.
