Default New Shifter Cup - Where to buy?

Hey everyone,

I have my new Rogue Engineering short shifter to install (finally, as they were just beginning production again when I ordered).

I've heard and read that the stock shifter cup is easily broken (and difficult) when being removed from the old shifter/installed on the new shifter... but I haven't been able to find any place that sells the replacement cups!

All the things I've read say they bought theirs from 350evo.com.. but it looks like that domain name is no longer valid.

So, does anyone know where else I can get one? And what the proper name for it is? I've heard shifter cup, control socket, etc... Might be easier to find one if I know what the "proper" name for it is!

If all else fails, I will just take a (very very careful) go at swapping the stock one over...

Thanks!

You have to use so much force to get the old one off that it usually is damaged. Better off getting a new one before you start.

You can get them from any Nissan dealer. Just check first as it probably won't be an in-stock part.

Ick! I'm several hundred miles away from the nearest Nissan dealer. >.<

Maybe they will ship.

I'm not sure if this includes the part you're looking for, but it's one of the best sites for parts and finding the part numbers.

Excellent! Found it under section 341 ( http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...5_778_795.html ).

Part number 32870 looks like the one! Went ahead and ordered it, will make myself wait until it arrives to start pulling things apart!

So, if anyone else is curious, it's part number 32870 - you can order from http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_sear...t on=Go&cat=1
