Default Aftermarket valve covers w/ replaceble gaskets

There seems to be dozens of aftermarket manufacturers making all kind of parts for these cars from scratch and NOT ONE has been able to come up with some metal aftermarket valve covers with replaceble spark plug tube gaskets that last for more than just 50k. GTM has carbon fiber covers for the valve covers but they somehow forgot to make some valve covers that people can reuse.

Is there any aftermarket manufacturer that wants to make or has some valve covers with replaceble gaskets? I haven't found any.

I bought some spark plug tube seals from some random cars. I have some valve covers coming soon and I want to try these seals on to see if they fit. Some are Acura/Honda, Lexus/Toyota, Nissan and some other makes. Paid about $65 shipped for all of them. Maybe one fits and works.

seriously. a valve cover is not a complicated piece, and it's silly we have to replace these things when they start letting oil slip through to the backside of the plugs.

there is a market for this part if a fabricator steps up.

****. I would pay $600 for a set if they are lifetime leak proof. Actually the whole valve cover issue and oil burning issue has me really pissed off at Nissan/Infiniti.

I heard a rumour that a nissan suv (i think pathfinder) do some alloy ones that fits? I will have to ask my tuner again as he uses them for their drag car as they dont warp.

He has about 5 sets that he wont sell for love nor money as they are like rocking horse sh*t

I'm going to look for those right now. Do they have replaceable spark plug seals or they do not have seals and are leak proof?

What about the VQ30 valve covers? They are aluminum.

They could possibly fit and they have replaceable seals. http://www.courtesyparts.com/maxima-...1785_1789.html - one of the seals I have is for that cover.

I talked with Courtesy Parts a few min ago. The 1996-2000 Pathfinder with the 3.3L VQ uses metal aluminum valve covers and the spark plug tubes are NOT in the valve covers themselves since the reason they do not leak inside. As soon as the valve covers I bought ship I will go to a dealer and check the bolt pattern if they have the Pathfinder ones in stock. Check Maxima ones as well.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfin...4702_4706.html

update

Went to the dealer and they didn't have them in stock for neither the Maxima or Pathfinder. Is there anyone here who can check so I don't have to order one of each?

The valve covers from the 1995 to 1999 VQ30 Maxima/i30 have the same bolt pattern as the the VQ35 ones but the coil packs are different and they use 2 bolts instead of just 1 like the VQ35 covers. There is also a problem with some of the coil packs from 1995 - 1999 where they cause misfires. So changing the valve covers works but then the coil packs that fit might become a problem. - http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ion-coils.html

More pics.

Tried using the VQ35 coil in the VQ30 valve cover but it doesn't fit at all. So the only way to make it all work is to use VQ30 coils and valve covers but the coil might not be good and go bad after a while.

you need to look up for a vq35 pathfinder/qx4. according to courtesy parts, they do come with replaceable spark plug tube seals. now you need to find a valve cover off one and test fit it, thou it should swap over.

I'm not seeing that.

QX4 VQ35 and the VQ40 Pathfinder.

This is the 3.3L Pathfinder and I don't think these fit.

There are none made for the VQ30DE or VQ35DE. Only aftermarket ones made are for the VQ35HR.

exactly. the vg33 parts wont work, because they use a big thick rubber gasket, and the plugs dont mount like they do in a vq35

I see now. I was blind.
13276 are the seals.

The picture of the seal is missing on other websites.

I cant buy the drivers side one. It says:

This part number is flagged as a Service File by Nissan and may have changed or need additional parts for replacement. Please contact us before ordering!
