The DXD flywheels are milled from solid 4140 Billet steel and are plenty thick so warping will never be an issue and can be resurfaced multiple times if it is ever needed.

Quick question. My clutch on my car just started slipping. Had 45k miles on it in March 2009 and now has 114k+. I drive the car really hard daily, sometimes for 100 miles per day, a lot of times in city traffic but still drive hard even in traffic. Car has some bolton mods.
Basically drag racing daily on the street would be a proper description of my driving style, AS LONG AS I have no passengers which I never do.
So which clutch has the best life expectancy given my driving style? I want 5 years at least.

I know this is an old thread, but i have been searching all over the internet for an issue i am having with this setup.
I have a 2003 V35 Skyline, and i'm in Australia. I have just recently upgraded to the CD009 transmission, also with that i got a Southbend clutch and flywheel. Just the entry level gear as i don't do much racing and can't legally FI my car due to Oz laws.
The issue basically is, every time i engage the clutch and change gears i get a sort of rubbing/gurgle sound. If you can imagine the face of the clutch spinning and rubbing against something solid behind it. That's pretty much what it seems like.
There is a brand new throw out bearing, brand new rear main seal, pivot ball, gear oil, clutch fluid the LOT. I am stumped and can't find anything on the internet about this sound i'm getting. Some people are saying there's a "bed in" period, in which there is a bit of noise until i reach 500+ km but i've done probably 300km now and noticed no changes at all.
Anyone that can help i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Does it make the noise all the time when the car is running? Or is it only under certain conditions?

Best recommendation for a Daily driver but weekend drag/drifter for a lightly modifyed 08 350z? I looked at your stage 2 endurance but i dont know if that would be good for my drifting. I know that i want a light weight flywheel, dont know if alum. or steel will be better.
plz pm me

It will not be the best driving kit for daily use, you will get some judder on take off from a stop but is manageable on the street.
South Bend Stage 2 Drag would be my recommendation with the DXD Steel Flywheel.
Give me a call if you would like to discuss. 937-665-0450 or Cell 937-689-0905

For Drifting and Drag racing you need to go with a puck style clutch, This is the only clutch that will last and not break while giving them abuse like that.

Pedal effort is a little more than stock, grab is much tighter, and no chattering / noise what so ever (oem unit was relatively noisy but not near my buddies with the JWT alum flywheel).
