06 clutch in 04?
Hey guys just wondering if there is any downside to using the 06 9" (240mm)clutch/pressure plate setup in an 04 that's originally equiped with a 9 7/8" (250mm) clutch/pressure plate setup?
My friend did it and his clutch is much softer, although it took a lot lower and the salve cylinder needed some spacing (longer pushrod) to raise the clutch engagement a bit.
I'm going with an aftermarket clutch disc but keeping with the OEM pressure plate/release bearing. The 250mm pressure plate is more than double the price of the 240mm one.
