Default Valve covers w/ replaceble seals. Part 2

So who here know where to buy these same exact seal that Nissan puts in the VQ valve covers?
What this is, is a valve cover with the cam lobe surface ripped off and the seals simply press in and out.

Anyone know where to get those seals? Part number. Anyone try this and can confirm it does not leak.

We here at R&D Factory service many Nissans and Infinities daily and run into same valve cover/spark plug o-ring leak. About 75% of the vehicles that we serve have same problems. Even though its money out of customers pocket after spending so much money on these valve covers we were thinking there has to be a way to cut the cost. So here is the good news. We are in process of putting valve cover and o-ring replacement kit together in very short time. The kit will come with both driver and passenger side valve cover gasket, six o-ring gasket and a simple instruction how to replace them. MSRP on the kit is going to be $80.00 plus shipping. We will be also offering ready to install kit for $150.00 + $100 for the cores. we will ship you two valve covers(one of each driver and passenger side) with new valve cover gasket and o-rings installed. $100 core charge will be refunded as soon as you send in your covers to us. This kit should be available by end of the month or beginning of next month. You can PM us if you have any further questions.
your warranty should and will cover leaking valve cover o-rings grommets. we do advise you to check for leak before your warranty is over.... the whole idea of us making these o-rings grommets were for those who have leaking o-rings grommets yet their warranty is already over. we do drill out the old o-ring grommets with hole saw size 1 7/8 inch. its is slightly bigger than the existing hole and slightly smaller than the o-ring....please pm us if you have any further questions....thank you
60 for 6 o-rings
90 to add OEM valve cover gaskets (both side)
100 to add OEM pcv valve and seal
above prices are shipped to lower 48 states.....

It clears all cams like the C9 and C10 VQ35HR cams from JWT. The cams SGM has on their VQ35DE 350z.

I bought the seals from R&D factory. I bought them for my mothers Murano since it's leaking oil and air and running like **** because of it. I went to a local dealership and the guy didn't know anything about the seals and asked me a bunch of stupid questions that a knowledgeable parts cs rep shouldn't be asking. Him and whoever gave him that job should both be fired. I have no idea why the **** he even works there because he knows nothing. Maybe Tony@Riverside knows since he is one of the few people who is qualified for his job title.

Anyway here is what they look like. They smell like fresh rubber. Wish I had a part number. These are $3 each, so I overpaid R&D Factory by about $45. I paid $60 total.

I don't even know why they feel entitled to not release the part number when they didn't even make these seals. I would feel obligated to release it simply because I didn't make them.

I'm definitely going to look into this. When I was infecting those seals with the valve cover I noticed that there was oil on it. And I think that's how the oil is getting into my plugs. Is rather replace those then buy new valve covers if I can. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But that should fix the oil issue with the valve covers right?

What does the cam lobe surface do? Is taking it out detrimental?

Its not a cam lobe surface, its an oil baffle. And R+D factory says NOT to take it out per their thread.

I just called the Nissan parts department and as far as they know. The only way to get those seals is if you buy the valve covers....

Well it didn't work for me. I used RTV in the flanges of the valve covers because the seals were really loose in there. Someone try it without RTV or removing the baffle and let me know if it leaks.

They are from a 2000-2001 Maxima. I remove the oil baffle and wasn't suppose to so that could be the reason. I went by the original pics that I saw that shop post.

So are you saying that the '00-'01 Maxima spark plugs gaskets the same as what R&D is selling?

Glad I found this, me and my mechanic friend found a bunch of oil in the far right spark plug well today. This is way better than ordering the valve covers.

Hit up L-Fab about rebuilt valve covers
Hear they charge less than R&D
