It would be extremely easy to design an A/C bracket to mount the stock Z compressor. The only downside is that there are so many different belt layouts for the LS motor, it will be hard to make it universal.

I was thinking the same thing.. then I thought screw everyone else, I will make what works for my setup and the world can conform to me. That may be wrong

Are all the LS2 setups the same? There seems to be several LS1 setups. Can the accessories be moved around to be in the same place on all the blocks?

The LS2 has three different setups I believe. Corvette, Cadillac and GTO.

Yes they can all be moved around but that involves buying a new crank pulley, new cast brackets and in some cases a new water pump.

I think a standard should be set for both LS1's and LS2's. Let's have some sort of committee on this and hash out the standards so that from here on out any LS swapper knows EXACTLY what to buy.

Hey guys, im pretty new to the forum. I spend most my time just surfing the forum. Im saving for this swap but im having a hard time finding an ls2/t56 drop out. Those who have made the purchase, where are you guys buying and whats an average price to pay?

I grabbed mine off of Ebay from LKQ for $6600 shipped. From trolling ebay I also found a few other places and put in calls and emails and they have called back when they found what I was looking for originally.

If you have some time, put in some calls and just wait and you will get what you need. Also, you can troll on ls1tech.com in the classifieds for a setup as well. IMO its harder to find the full dropout there with the matching components like the harness and ECU.

I think someone should just come out with a kit to mount the stock Z/G accessories like did.

Nice!! My car looks just like that but on jack stands in my garage.

The first two SIKKY boxes showed up yesterday, one day shipping FTW!! Rest of the kit should be here today. I will send the LS ECU to JE Imports to have the vats disabled and then hopefully start looking at putting things together soon.

Thanks for the suggestions. i actually looked on ebay, but was not sure how comfortable to feel about making a purchase there. i have actually heard of LKQ, a lot of shops use them for replacement parts but was not aware they were on ebay.
