I had the same issue - the needle pegged all the way to the right when the engine started. Replaced the sensor and all is well. HOWEVER, while removing the original sensor I actually cracked the engine where the sensor is inserted, it's near a corner and a portion of the aluminum actually broke off. Luckily there was enough thread left that I was still able to screw the new part in, but be careful.

Solved for me...
I went ahead and finally bought a Nissan factory oil pressure unit... FIXED. I bought 3 from eBay and 1 from AutoZone all which read 20psi or so lower... So, buy nice or buy twice or 5 times like I did.

Hi Alex, I don't live in the US but facing the same issue, I have a friend living in Miami so he can receive the sensor, but, do you know how can I make a direct order to Nissan?
Buying it from where I live (with the authorized Nissan dealer) costs 220 USD and takes 2 months to arrive.. =S
