Sorry guys for the late update, was a crazy weekend.. Well back to the action

STAGE 1: Phase 3 'Front Drive Assembly & Accessories'

Beer of choice this week is Fischer Blonde, a blonde ale with a baright gold in color, this beer displays unique savour with subtle fruity accents. Beer is imported from France. Also has a pretty cool bottle top. Has a pretty good taste could be better but not bad with a good burger..

What we have to install today is a water pump with some AN fittings that I got from my good friend Stew, which also has a build thread going on with his LS1 S13 (check it out HERE), ARP Water pump bolts, Alternator, KRC tension pulley and a KRC drift power steering pump. Nothing but the best for my babe..

Water Pump: $150.00

ARP Water Pump Bolts: $37.00

Alternator: $97.99

KRC idler tensioned is: $178.75

KRC Drift power steering pump: $460.57

KRC F-body pump bracket is: $68.75

Name: 77.jpg
Views: 561
Size: 4.67 MB

Stew had a -16AN welded in for the thermostat, but I will be changing this to a -20AN..

Name: 78.jpg
Views: 561
Size: 5.83 MB

Here is a -20AN that I had welded for the inlet side..

Name: 79.jpg
Views: 599
Size: 5.36 MB

More AN fittings thanks to Stew, other inlet was welded shut,,

Name: 80.jpg
Views: 535
Size: 5.84 MB

New Gaskets and ARP bolts

Name: 81.jpg
Views: 560
Size: 5.79 MB

Bolt it up, and torque to 11 lb ft (First Pass) and 22 lb ft (Final Pass)

Size: 5.78 MB

next is the alternator bracket

Name: 83.jpg
Views: 650
Size: 5.81 MB

And the alternator its self..

Name: 84.jpg
Views: 560
Size: 3.95 MB

bolt it up

Name: 85.jpg
Views: 555
Size: 4.08 MB

Name: 86.jpg
Views: 544
Size: 5.30 MB

make sure you torque down

Name: 87.jpg
Views: 603
Size: 6.28 MB

starting to come together

Name: 88.jpg
Views: 546
Size: 4.75 MB

Next is the KRC goods,,

Name: 89.jpg
Views: 578
Size: 5.71 MB

First up is the idler tension pulley.. KRC makes some nice products and would highly recommend them to any one.

Name: 90.jpg
Views: 524
Size: 4.46 MB

Mount up the bracket first and follow the instructions for torque specs.

Name: 91.jpg
Views: 581
Size: 5.65 MB

Already looks good.

Name: 93.jpg
Views: 537
Size: 4.70 MB

Then mount up the bracket for the pulley itself and again follow the KRC instructions.

Name: 92.jpg
Views: 595
Size: 5.02 MB

So pretty...

Name: 945.jpg
Views: 537
Size: 4.69 MB

Then mount up the pulley itself. In this pic I have not fully installed the center bearing all the way, but you get the idea..

Name: 94.jpg
Views: 598
Size: 6.07 MB

Perfect

Name: 95.jpg
Views: 572
Size: 6.40 MB

Next is the KRC Drift power steering pump bracket

Name: 96.jpg
Views: 589
Size: 5.28 MB

And the power steering pump itself too.

Name: 97.jpg
Views: 584
Size: 4.61 MB

The craftsmanship of this power steering pump is damn good

Name: 98.jpg
Views: 584
Size: 5.55 MB

Comes with all the fittings you need.

Name: 99.jpg
Views: 571
Size: 5.14 MB

Mount up the bracket first, and be sure to follow the instructions.

Name: 100.jpg
Views: 613
Size: 5.02 MB

Then mount up the power steering pump to the bracket. Again follow instructions for torque specs..

Name: 101.jpg
Views: 603
Size: 5.64 MB

There you have it, almost looks like a complete motor. Coming together slowly but surely..

Total price so far: $4,070.02

Next week STAGE 1: Phase 4 'LS1 to LS6 PCV conversion'

I'm guessing the power steering fluid reservoir is intentionally recessed to clear the pump wheel? It just looked bent at first but I think it's supposed to be that way for clearance.

Royal, wouldn't you want to change the coolant fittings before you mount them to the engine?

You talking about the -16AN on the thermostat? ... Well he just removed it and doing it off the water pump.. Is this what you are asking?
