Also, what driveshaft are you going to be pairing up with the R154 and Z33 rear end?

New and hopefully last plan:
I bought a non vvti head and ECU and will replace the vvti head.
I found a Garret GT42 Turbo for $800 and a genuine aftermarket exhaust manifold for only $200. Both used but in a good condition.
Also, will get ARP head studs, head gasket, cam gears and timing belt.
Will post pics later.

Small update:
Just bought a used OS Giken triple and waiting for a quote on a new PT6766 turbo.
Also will receive the HKS 280 cams, head gasket and AEM can gears tomorrow. Apparently there is something wrong with the head so I just bought the parts and will get another head.
This build is no longer on a budget. lol

yes but turbo with lower comp ratio and the internals on that motor can hold around 1000hp, the N/a version of the 2jz (2jzge) can hold right around 8-900ish hp also can hold at a max around 35 psi on e85 on stock internals unless you have and 03 and up vvti then it has weaker rods..... also doing a similar swap shooting for around 800hp.... idk if your going to be able to do it and stay in budget but best of luck to ya !! 2jz> everything else but i still love my vq lol

and look at the reinforcement rod on this mani http://rdfabs.com/pageimages/TurboManifold_NeonSTR4.JPG
it will give you an idea of what im talking about
also get your front main seal studded to the housing and weld on larger breather bungs onto the valve covers with a oil catch can because the 2jz is known for hi crank case pressure and it WILL blow out your front main in no time sorry for all the post im just trying to save you some hassle
Also run the oil feed for your turbo from the top of the oil tree, sandwich off of the long *** bolt that bolts the oil tree on and run a -4an line to your turbo, yes im aware the turbo and the oil tree are on opposite sides but that has the best oil pressure to prevent starving your turbo from oil, the stock oil outlets are kind of a mid pressure so lots of times they end up starving it for oil and you loose your turbo so just block off the stock ones
ohhh and run a -10an for the dump from the turbo back to the pan\
lemme know if you have any questions
