Default Question about what to do with a spare block

Hi guys,

About a year and a half ago a water locked my engine. I blame the weak South Florida drainage systems . I was able to get the engine and turbo replaced under insurance but, I have been left with lot of extra parts including short block and heads. The heads are fine and I am going to try and sell them but, the block has a bent rod and obvious rust damage from water.

I need to dispose of it soon. I dont want to just throw it away, that much metal has to be worth something in original form or not. Any ideas on who/how to get rid of this thing?

Thank yo for your input.

Furniture,,, or sell for aluminum scrap, but anyone needing a core will have to bore it .20 usually and an industrial parts washer should make everything good as new.

Selling as a core may get you the most $$$.
