Default Nos vs turbo

Hey I just wanted know what you guys rather have a complete nitrous setup with all the switches to run safe and fully bolt ons or a turbonetics turbo kit?
And which one do you guys think is going to be more reliable for everyday driving?

run nitrous through your turbo would be your best bet

For a daily driver I'd say go vortech, I tried the nitrous route and found myself wanting the power all the time rather than just here and there.

nothing is safe with nitrous... don't care who tuned it...plus having extra power at a push of a button is a waste (like mentioned above) honestly I would go vortech if your wanting reliable power. Being completely safe would be bone stock...you modify your pushing your engine is what it is

Nitrous on a daily driven car isnt worth the risk. What size shot are you asking about?

Technically speaking, if you daily drive it, nitrous will be more reliable because it would be tuned for only full-open-throttle use and when youre enabling it. I do not know what stock VQ rings are gapped to but if the strength of the VQ internals is any indication my bet is its nowhere near acceptable for a decent nitrous shot.

put a 2 stage kit on there, first stage fires 150, second fires 300, see how fast you go.

For any forced induction engine there is no such thing as a reliable engine unless its very mildly tuned. I'd forget the nitrous as a bad joke, you're never going to make good use of it unless you're going to be a traffic light drag racer. For a daily drive I'd go for a supercharger.

If only for the track, nitrous. If you want consistent gains then FI. Stay away from Turbonetics because its garbage

w NOS, you will go thru a bottle every two days for the first month.. then that will limit how often you show off GREATLY. You will know what kind of power you ahve if you want to bust it out.. and you will have FAR more money in your pocket than us FI guys do.
I have a built car, single turbo, and i barely get into boost that often, and as for full on speed, ive done it three times. Either can be done well or can be done poorly.. nos is not magic voodoo.. its the same gig as a turbo.. more air.. in any event, the same damaging issues can pop up.

Sometimes i wish id have saved 15000.00 and jsut done nos. If i had a simply built Z to do over, thats certainly all id ever do again.

Turbo is the OBVIOUS choice, the only thing you have to refill is the gasoline/ethanol in the car. Reliable? LOL, that's funny, if you're looking for super reliable - take a few words of advice - don't modify, stay bone stock - that's your highest % for reliability because you will quickly find **** breaks once you start putting out more power the car wasn't really designed for (or buy a car like a GT500, ZL1 etc that were designed from factory for massive power).

I can only see a need for NOS if your trying to spool a way oversized turbo for the sake of dyno queen power levels or a true hardcore drag setup.

Nos is like renting power, a turbo or sc is owning power.

on a street car, if you are pulled and cops see nitrous bottles, a lot of states can impound immediately.
