Default Kinetix Velocity Manifold install problem

Hey guys I just installed my kinetix velocity manifold tonight and all went real smooth with the install. The problem came when I went to start it up. At first it fired right up but then idled very rough and gave off a terrible smell so I turned it off. After that every time I went to start it, it wouldn't turn over completely. Like it would lock up or felt like there was too much pressure. Any ideas on what's going on? Thanks

Double check all connections/hoses, etc. Disconnect negative battery terminal for a few minutes and re-connect.

Try idle air volume relearn, and then try throttle body positioning relearn.

I disconnected the battery and retried and now it starts up every time but still runs very rough and rich.

I will try these in the morning. I think it's something with the lines though. I bought it used so didn't come with instructions or the coupler. I'm a little confused with the two hoses on the driver side. Those should be spliced together correct? Then the one coming from back passenger goes to back on manifold. And two on the passenger side go into that side. Am I correct with this?

These are the two on the passenger side and then the one from the EVAP goes to the back one but I can't get a pic

Then these are the two I coupler together correct?

The last pic looks like the throttle body coolant lines that would have been connected to the original plenum.

It's hard for me to tell completely on mobile but as the person above me said, make sure those lines are still on your TB also it looks like your strut may not have enough clearance so double check it cause it will make it seem like its running rough. Again though its hard to see it on mobile.

Those lines don't actually connect to the TB. They connect to the original upper plenum that OP took off. If OP bought new, the kit would have included the brass piece to connect the hoses to flow as one.

So they don't connect to TB? I just had an adapter in my garage and connected them together. Didn't come with anything to connect them

The right angle brass piece in the bottom left hand corner is what you are missing. The seller probably forgot about it, and didn't supply it when he sold it to you.

Also do I need a right angled connector or will my straight one do just fine?

The other brass piece is for I think FI guys when they need another gauge. They install that piece and connect a 3rd hose. And ya, a straight piece is fine. Just so long as everything fits together.

Yeah everything fits together fine. I'll check the strut bar tomorrow but that should be fine. If so then idk what the hell is going on

Make sure your fittings aren't leaking where your hoses are connected. Might have slight air leak that may be causing your idle being messed up. And make sure all your screws are torqued to spec and you don't have any leaks between the manifold and the block.

Did both of these a couple times and seems to run so much better, thank you! Getting it tuned Monday as well so that should help too. If I have any troubles I'll post in here
