help with single 'blast pipe' like exhaust
Im looking to get the look of a 'blast pipe' with some sort of muffler in the mid pipe section. Just like this motordyne shockwave single that seems to be discontinued (picture 1).
Im asuming i need some kind of universal muffler to weld in place of the stock mid muffler. Or could i just get a motordyne resonator and put that in its place? Would that be way too loud? Im looking for similar decipals as an agency power or other loud exhaust.
So does anyone recommend a midpipe i can use. Or a muffler i should buy to weld in?
Here are some pics of what im trying to do..

Any thoughts on how this moroso muffler will sound in place of the muffler/resonator under the drive shaft. It shouod fit. Its 2.5 inlet/outlet. 4"x16". Stock piping is 2.5 right? Or is it 2.25?
Magnaflow makes one in the same size too. Not sure what whould sound good

It's either 2.5 or 2.75 inch , just do it and see how it sounds, may take a couple tries. Will be very loud, I only run my setup on the track.

Ya i saw the dynomox. U like it? Im afraid the magnaflkw will sound like a v6 mustang. I was also thinking about the vibrant resonator instead of a muffler. I heard some z's with a muffler delete just stock res and it sounded good. But pretty quiet for me. And i drive my truck daily. Noise isnt a problem.
Im goin for it for sure. Gonna chop it and weld myself at a buddies shop.

I've never been pulled over for loud exhaust. Straight pipes on a cruiser, straight pipe on a sportbike (ridiculous), no exhaust on a K5 blazer, muffler delete on the Z and my current loudest vehicle is my built 5.0L F150. It has a full exhaust and a muffler but it is still loud enough you can't talk on a cell phone inside it.

This makes me smile. And gives me hope that it will be loud as hell . I want loud. But i want it to sound like a loud VQ. Not a v8. It will be light. And as important as the sound is the looks. And i like the blast pipe look. The price aint bad either for the parts. 5'of borla 2.5 ss exhaust tubing is 59$

My silverado has what r called daytime running lights even. They automatically turn on when u start the car.
Ive been pulled over for having aftrrmarket offroad lights uncovered tho. Which does make sense. Those bitches are so damn bright. Definately. Not for the street. But most dont know u have to fully cover them on the road. I got off with a warning.

I used them a few times to get mustang owners to turn their damn grille lights off. I had one guy that I met every morning that had them on and I couldn't see **** in the Z till he went by. Finally drove my K5 and lit him up. Never had an issue again.

Thats pretty freakin loud. Wish u wouldvr revved it a bit. I sold my 73 camaro so i need some noise in my parking lot to replace it. That thing was crazy loud even with dual flowmasters. Gonna save for a 240sx full racecar. Either ka24det or sr20. As much as i love working on small block chevys and the cars they come in, i know i need a better platform.

I asked my wife one time why she didn't have her turn signal on when preparing to turn left. She said, "I am in a turn lane." Thanks for the evidence that she was wrong.....again!
