Default Oil in Spark Plug Tubes PROBLEM

My 350z is bucking at 2500 RPMs. If I stay below 2500 it runs great but once I get to 2500 it bucks really bad and I can see the RPM gauge bounce from 2200 to 2500. I thought it could be the plugs so I started to change them. Well, plug 3 and 6 had oil in the plug tubes. I took all the plugs out and the oil ran down through the plug whole. There was about 1-2 inches of oil in plug 6 and about 1 inch in plug 3. So where did the oil end up after it went through the plug whole, on top of the piston? I have not started or put in the new plugs yet. I have been told if I replace the plugs and start the engine with oil on the piston it could blow the piston.
Is this true?
What should I do now, try to suck out the oil with a small vacuum tube or is it a big deal?
Also, does it sound like the oil in the plugs could cause the bucking at 2500 RPMs?

I'm not too mechanically inclined so I figured the oil was coming up from the bottom of the plug (I know better now) and I took all the plugs out. And magically... the oil was gone!

After a bit of research on these forms I found out the oil was actually coming from the top side of the spark plug tubes do to bad tube seals. So now the oil has gone down past the plug. There was about 1-2 inches in plug 6 and about 1 inch in plug 3.

So where did the oil go, on top of the piston? What should I do now, try to suck out the oil with a small vacuum tube or is it a big deal?

Sounds to me like bad valve covers. There are a few people on here that have made their own grommets/gaskets to redo their valve covers and prevent the oil leakage. Z1 and ConceptZPerformance also sell new valve cover sets.

Now to the bucking. Is it misfiring or throwing any codes? If your spark plugs are oil fouled like you found, to me that would be the main problem.

As for the oil, it is probably burning or collecting inside your plenum. If I were you I would check the oil almost on the daily just to be safe. You could also go as far as removing the upper plenum or the entire plenum to clean it.
People also run catch cans to try and prevent this.

Here's some links..... just copy past or click if it lets you. I'm not sure the year of your Z, so just look for it

There's tons of info on this site about all of the info above.

Good Luck OP

Not sure if it's throwing codes, the engine light is not on. It idles smoothly and runs great under the 2500rpm mark. No backfire either.

Man, $350-$450 for new valve covers! Why would there not be a replacement for just the tube seals? What a rip. Thank you for taking the time to do some research on the parts.

I recommend looking into the maxima valve covers. some modifications are required but they prices are ridiculously cheaper!! See the link below!

Lol if you have oil between your coil and your plug (like I did) it will cause miss-firing, like my car had.

I just dropped 400$ for new covers (and a couple of other little parts). Just get two new covers and gaskets. DIY, and remember that you probably won't have to change them again for the life of the engine.
