Got a 2010 G37S VLSD Differential (whole pumpkin) for a 03 Base 350z
Ok, so after some searching around and getting conflicting answers on differential swaps for our cars which always seems to happen when it comes to diffs, I need some help! I bought a whole G37S pumpkin off ebay and I am wondering if it is a simple bolt in mod after draining and refilling the fluids of course or did I just seriously mess up with the flange/axle stub situation. It looks to be extremely close to the Z diff.

At 36K miles and taller gears (seller didn't say if it was 3.6 or 3.9 fingers crossed for 3.9) it was an impulse buy.
Thanks, for any help!

Bolts in, but there have been some problems with using the G37 stub shafts.

Thanks a lot man, I'll just bolt her in and see how it goes. Do you know if the stub shaft problem is a sure thing that always happens or is it a 50/50 chance? If it does occur can I just swap the Z diff shafts into the G pumpkin or is it a SOL situation?

Yes, you would just swap stub shafts if there are problems. Speedo will be off from the difference in reluctor teeth and your TCS may react badly.

Ok, very helpful information I have a base model so no TCS system except for ABS sensors on the pumpkin at least that I am aware of and the speedo isn't a huge deal. If this forum had like rep points or something I'd def give you some.

Got done with the swap today, other than swapping over the old sensors because the Z uses a merged plug vs the Infiniti individual plugs it was 100% bolt in and go. Didn't have any issues with the axle flanges bolting up or the driveshaft flanges.
