Borg Warner 9180 efr turbo kit
Ok so I have not seen anyone run a full custom borg Warner turbo kit cause yes it would be expensive. But I wanted to be different so I did it..
As many of you know when boosting a car the list of parts can get very long so don't be mad that I'm not gonna post every part. The kit was custom made from Moore automotive in Fairfax VA. The motor was built by Kyle from ipp in Texas. I went with the stage two motor that will handle safely 700-750 to the wheels. Don't need more then that. I had the shop also keep the ac lines and re run them so the wifey can stay cool while on road trips.
The kit is a custom 3in piping that has been bent and welded to fit. I mounted the turbo right where the air duct is so it will always get nice cool air while driving. The intercooler is a treadstone 1000hp intercooler. The turbo is the 9180 efr turbo which is roughly a .83mm good to about 800-900 hp. I went with this turbo because I didn't want to max the one below it out which would give me the 700rwhp I wanted so instead I went one size bigger and will tune the boost to were I want it.. The build has been going on for over a year now and I'm still not done. Finally in the home stretch of putting miles on the car 3000 miles that is so the motor will be fully broken in. Once the motor is broken in and I get the final tune on I will post the pictures of the dyno sheets so everyone can see the numbers. Sorry for not going into all details I am just trying to make a post not write a story lol. The photos are in my album mamed build

I'm hoping so to. Only time will tell though. I'll still be happy in the 600 though. But I know one thing the kit is doable but it's a timely and expensive kit. But hey it pays to be the first. Now hopefully I can get borg Warner to make a kit for our cars
