Difference between the HA20 and HXA20 differentials
Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Tomei T-Trax HA20 (P/N 562020) and the HXA20 (P/N562048)?
If you look here they are exactly the same specs. http://www.tomeiusa.com/_2003web-cat...pec.htm#nissan
But I have seen on some sites that the HXA20 is for the open differential and the HA20 is for the VLSD version.
The ultimate question I have is Will the HA20 work with my 350z base model because it doesn't seem like there is a difference but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the reply 90nissanS13, as you probably read I had that info in my initial post. I was hoping someone would reply with hands on experience in the subject. Because if you look at the link in my initial post the two part numbers are identical in specifications. But as Dboyzalter said it may be the stub axels being different lengths. Anyway I decided to not risk it and just buy the correct one from a vendor.

I read that you were asking "...Does anyone know if there is a difference between...". That is the reason I posted my last message. The two part #s are intended for two different differentials. That should be enough reason to stay away.
I think you made the right decision in the end. It's never worth saving a few dollars by attempting a short-cut.
Maybe you could share your experience with the parts when they come in. I'd be interested to see what you bought.
