Default Help! Different shop saying different things!

Okay, I've done my searches and Im pretty sure I know what the problem is but after talking to 3 different places I am not sure.

Car: 2006 350z; 130K miles
Issue: Failed 5th and 6th gear. I do not have to use the clutch to push into position. The gear does not engage anyway.
Recent work: Flushed clutch fluid, new clutch, resurfaced flywheel

Ive read about the notorious synchro issue but they only ever mention grinding with a worn synchro. Im thinking a completely failed synchro would cause my issue. 5th and 6th gear are SHOT. Its like have 2 extra neutral slots. I talked to the place that did my clutch and they say that if it were a clutch issue I should be having issues with all the gears.

A second local (import specialist) says: "It could be a clutch issue. We never resurface flywheels for those cars. Bring it in for a diagnosis"
I feel like this guy is pulling my leg for that diagnosis fee..

Neither places will quote me on a tranny swap without bringing my car in.

I wanted to reach out to my fellow Z'ers before just biting the diagnostics fee cause I would love to keep this car..
All help is GREATLY appreciated
