How did you break in your rebuilt engine?

Idk if you'll get one set standard for proper break in.
But in all my new cars, and many mfg reccomendation..
First 500 miles take it slow and smooth. No bang shifts, don't go over 3k RPM, change oil at 500.
After first 1,000 take it slow but every once and a whole give it SOME gas (doesn't mean full red line) but some slow steady speed pulls like your merging into highway traffic, change oil at 1,500.
After about 2,000 to 3,000 miles you should be fine to start working it up.
Best thing would be ask your shop that's rebuilding it what they reccomend.

Most of the guys around where I live that have built motors use a zinc based oil additive for the first 4-6k miles using ck32's approximate oil change chart. In my experience, the first few early oil changes help the most. Good luck with the new build.

Break it in the way it's going to be driven.
My juke saw the limiter within the first 10 miles. My GSXR saw the limited in the first 4 gears starting at the 1/2 mile mark. My Z motor once freshened up, straight to the dyno for pulls to Redline while tuning
