Default Rear main seal & boost

For boosted applications, is it recommended to drill out (increase size) of the PCV on the drivers side?

I was told by my tuner that the that after a certain amount of boost, I would blow out the rear main seal.

I currently have a closed catch can on the passenger side, and have the drivers side vented to atmosphere. BTW, Vortech supercharged. Just wondering if I need to do any drilling.

Thanks 🙏 in advance!

I've never heard this before pertaining to VQs. I just vent to atmosphere with filters. Sub'd for answers.

Ive not had a problem with 18psi, but without a vested crankcase it may be possible. I'm venting both valve covers.

I was told when my rear main went, it was very possible that it was due to not having a catch can yet and not venting my crankcase pressure.

my catch can was routed from my passenger side back to my intake. when my rear main seal went, i thought that was the issue, but it turned out that my seal was installed incorrectly. .. upon further investigation, i rerouted my passeneger side - to can - to dump, and driver was atmosphere.

Did you modify the driver's side value cover in order to vent it?

When I bought my FI car the rear main was leaking pretty bad and making the clutch slip. My car did not have a catch can and the PCV system was routed like factory. The seal did look damaged when i pulled it out which could have been installed improperly or crank case pressure damaged it. Not really sure. The rear mains are not exactly easy to get in and out so be damn careful when installing the new seal. I have since added a catch can with no issues at all.
