Default Transmission fluid question

I recently ordered redline mt90 and i keep seeing people say you shouldnt use it and others saying you should. Should i cancel my order or just use it? Will i be harming my transmission using this fluid?

You should actually use the MT85, but I have the MT90 in mine, and it works great. A little notchy on cold mornings, but it's not cold here in FL very often.

Even on a cold day, it warms up quickly. You'll be fine, and the Redline really is good stuff.

I think any good trans fluidity rough in the morning. I live in Socal and the Motul I use is horrible the first couple miles. But by then I'm on the freeway anyway

I run Royal Purple Max Gear and its the same: when cold (in FL haha) its hard to get in gear and grinds in 3rd and 5th even after I swapped in a CD009. Once warm it shifts fine and almost never grinds. On the track I have no issues. Been thinking about switching to the Redline 50/50 mix solution.

Just make sure to use GL4 stuff in the tranny.

Is the RP specified for the Z? Many gear oils are just super-slippery, but what's different about the Redline is that it has the proper amount of friction to work properly with the syncro's.

On their website yes, its recommend for the Z. Now its not the 75W85 that Redline now makes so you don't have to do the awesome-sauce 50/50 mix. However some people reported the RP 75W90 working well in hotter climates. Per the manual either is OK and RP 75W90 was available locally when I did my tranny swap so I went with it. Since I'm not impressed I was considering switching since I'm due for a fluid change.

And reason you went with the MT90 instead of the MT85?

I just had a bunch of MT90, from before they sold the MT85. Next change I'll do the MT85, but I have no complaints about the MT90.
