Default Bolt ons... explanations please

Alot of times when talking about modified vehicles I hear people use the term "bolt ons". I'm just wondering what exactly "bolt ons" are? I understand that they are things you would just bolt on to the vehicle to give you more power but what exactly are they? Intake, aftermarket air filter/cai, bigger injectors? Like what exactly are the "bolt ons"? For those of you that actually answer thanks in advance! For those that are just here to roast me, well I'm expecting it so have at it.

^^^ These.

"Bolt-ons": essentially any performance parts that do not require engine tear-down to install/upgrade - unlike cams, pistons, dry sump, etc. and require only removing original part and installing new part to the external of the engine.

With that said, is "tuning" considered a "bolt-on" or maybe a "plug-in"? Laff...
