Sorry for the late reply. I do not frequent this forum because I drive a 370Z.

YES I did. I put them there as it said on the manual I think (it's been 5 years. Can't recall 100%).

NO. There's no holes to be drilled. It stays on by the tightness of the two metal pieces.

Thank you! my son just got a z and this is the first "mod" we did outside of oil change. What a great tutorial we got it done in about 45 min. and the tutorial made the job way easier. These types of forums are the best. thank you again for taking the time and pics. We are going to be doing more and will document our further mods for all on this site.
Cheers,

Awesome! that's the spirit! I made did diy and then few months later I sold the 350Z. Since then, I have been driving 370Z. I have almost 82,xxx miles on my 370Z. So hoping to replace the Z with newest Z coming out soon. Glad to help.

BTW, I was backing up my old files into a new EXT hard drive and saw the video for this diy. I re uploaded to my new account as old youtube account was closed down by Google and video was not playable.

thanks

Installed today on my 05 35th ann edition.. Easy to do, the part that took the most time was the stupid screw in the air duct. So got a torch and nail; took the screws that came with it and tossed em Heated nail put thru plastic; drilled bigger hole in heat shield and used nut and bolt. So much faster will cut bolt down tomorrow but here are my before and after. Thanks for the DIY !!
