This is my most highly anticipated broadcast television events... EVER!!!
Prepare to be astonished.
Tune in to Discovery Channel on Sunday, March 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT for PLANET EARTH, an epic 11-episode series depicting Earth as never before. The series is full of television firsts – with many new animals, animal behavior and landscapes caught on camera for the first time. Five years in the making, filmed in more than 200 locations and shot entirely in high definition, the world's premier wildlife filmmakers have traveled the world to overwhelm viewers with the beauty and wonder of Earth. This is the ultimate portrait of the planet.
They even showed the trailer for this last night when I saw Ghost Rider. It is going to show new species never before seen and some of the most illussive animals like the Snow Leopard and Blue Whale.

Thing is, the regular Discovery Channel isn't braodcast in HD. There is an HDDC, but they show different programming; I hope they're smart enough to show this there.
Ticks me off that the HDDC has a diff. line-up/schedule; I can never catch American Chopper in HD since it isn't on when it's supposed to be.
Am looking forward to it, the trailers although short, sure look fantastic
Problem is HBO's Rome comes on at the same time, and I dont have a dual tuner
WTF am suppose to do?
You can buy the HD-DVD in April from Amazon. I already pre-ordered mine. I love the Discovery and NAtional Geographic Channel. I hope they release Blue Planet in HD...hell, if they release it in Blu-Ray, I'm gonna go out and buy me a PS3!!
