WOW! This free application looks freakin' awesome!!! They really put some thought into it. Create your own character, get your own "home", decorate it to your liking, make it public or private, invite friends over, and even jump into multiplayer games with your friends. I like that it lets you share media files you have on your hard drive with other people, pretty neat.
Looks cool but I won't buy a PS3 just for that....xbox live still has my vote.
I love my Xbox live, but there really isn't a lounge or anything. Imagine if you all can meet up at a virtual lobby as characters before signing onto Rainbow 6 for some co-op action. That would be sweet.

worth $600 though?...i'm not going to switch to PS3 just to have a lounge...also who's to say that microsoft won't have an update for XBL by then too?

agreed. It would be nice. Make it feel more realistic. But honestly, when I'm talking to my buds online, I'm either in a game or walking around my house with my headset on doing other things rather than looking at a bunch of vitual characters. One more thing for me to spend my precious time on (building my virtual apartment). This will actually be the future of gaming....I'll embrace it when it gets to the xbox. I love xbox controllers and hate sony controllers. I own a PS2 btw. I hardly play it. It might be going in the Z soon. lol.
PS3 is actually the bargain console depending on the accessories you want on xbox 360 (I own both so I'm not biased)
PS3:
$600 including high-def player and wireless and a bigger HD than xbox 360
Xbox 360:
$400
$200 for high-def player
$100 for wireless
Of course, if you don't want the high def player or wireless, then xbox 360 is clearly the better choice.
true, but ergonomics comes into play when I think PSx. I own 2 xbox360s and no PS3s. If they make a converter for controllers, I will consider the PS3.

I'm the opposite, I totally prefer the PS3 contoller. But that's totally a matter of personal choice.
