Exclamation Trick r' Treat...

Trailer looks damn awesome!

Quote:
Bryan Singer's X2 and SUPERMAN RETURNS writing team of Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris are now off doing their own separate non-superhero things, such as the upcoming horror flick TRICK 'r TREAT. Dougherty is graduating to feature directing with the movie, which collects X2 alumni Brian Cox and Anna Paquin for the Halloween chills.

The movie interweaves several terrifying subplots, including a serial-killing school principal, a gang of pranking teens, and a guy obsessed with Halloween. Dougherty recently revealed the appropriately atmospheric teaser poster you see below -- it's also nice to know the movie will be in theaters around the time of the actual holiday.

You too?

Did you notice how you can't access the trailer from the DVD Menu? Only when the DVD is first inserted...

Yep. I thought it was just me screwing up the burn when I copied it.

I thought it looked stupid, but I guess I'm just not a fan of horror movies. Seems like the genre is really stale... was refreshing to see fresh takes on horror like what they did with the first Final Destination and Saw.

FD, the first one, was good. IMO Saw series was trash. My impression from the T'r'T preview was that they kind of poked fun at the genre. I couldn't tell based on the scenes if it was all serious or had some dark humor mixed into it.
