It keeps freezing with no error code no RROD or anything. It just started happening the other day. It's not a heat issue because I have the 360 and the powersupply on the desktop. Has anyone else had this problem?
give it time, it'll go to RROD, its internal heating and it doesn't matter how well ventilated it is or the room temp. In some cases it will not trigger a RROD, but you can get it replaced, M$ is not being picky, everything gets fixed free.
Give them a call
FYI
Its the fact that inside case run around 22°C higer then outside and the GPU's poor heat sink design cause the GPU to hit around 57*C higher then outside temps, then factor in dust blocking the already resistive air hole. This is what is killing the 360s
M$ just recently discovered the problem, and redesigned the heat sinks, the material they're made of, position, thermal compound and mounting system.
About 2 weeks ago every refurb console will have the new stuff and started this week all new 360s made will have the new stuff as well.
I had the same problem a few days ago- froze up while playing. I shut it down and turned it back on and it kept locking at the XBOX360 boot screen- the graphics were all pixelated and the sound was stuttering but no RROD. I powered it off and on about 6-8 times and kept getting the same results. Then finally got the RROD but it was a complete circle (not the 3/4 that most get). I unplugged the power supply for about 30 sec and then plugged it back in and it powered up fine.
