DJ Mags Top 100 results & CL's "Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2009"
So its officially out now and while most of us (DJ's/Producers & even Fans) have mixed feeling about this poll its one of those necessary evils that still remains relevant to our scene.
Glad to see some new faces in this poll and while I didnt make it in there "this" time around, I am pretty happy about being recognized as Christopher Lawrence's (DJ Mags #40) "Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2009".
Its been a huge year for me with gigs and releases so I think I am going to go after cracking the top 100/150 next year. Am counting on all my friends here.
For those of you interested in the list and CL's interview. Here is the link. Pretty interesting stuff happening.
The usual suspects for the top 10, I really disagree with David Guetta though. He is not very good live all he does is play his sh*tty Black Eyed Peas or Akon garbage and everybody screams. His best track is "The World is Mine" and that was like 5 or 6 years ago. The fact that he is ahead of Markus Schultz and Above and Beyond puzzles me.
*end rant*
Oh yeah gongrats on getting the Christopher Lawrence nod Jonathan thats awesome.
edit: I do have to hand it to David Guetta if he brings the music a little more mainstream in the US, thats a good thing.

I hate how guetta plays mainstream songs too. His songs though are golden..
bbhiznors - I use Cubase 5.1 and an entire slew of VST's. I have gear but have broken it all down now. A fast computer can run these programs so well now that I dont really have need to have bulky gear setup. Although, I do miss it sometimes as these is something to touching the controllers when making music. At least there are Midi assignments..
