I'm late seeing this b/c I didn't give the BET Hip Hop Awards time of day when it aired last week. But this is definitely worth checking out (quick, before CH3NO2 goes on a BET rant and before Doug chimes in that none of these emcees are any good b/c they aren't making 50 Cent kind of money )
Vid #3 is the best of the segments and features three of the best doing it right now

The only disappointment to me is that Buckshot's verse in the first vid sounds like one of his verses from the Survival Skills album. It was immediately recognizable and was not a freestyle. I'm still a Buckshot fan though.

nice man i missed this too... thanks for posting! my n****a Buddens is MAAAD underated.. he'd chew wayne up like a gummy bear then spit em on the sheetrock! krs killed it... and the last vid all featured mc's that could take the "crown" from these cats claiming to be the best.
On a related note, I'm looking forward to that new Wale album (next week?). I was slightly disappointed in his freestyle. Not that it was weak, but because his voice was so low and he seemed so unenthusiastic. It was as if he was intimidated by some of the other cats and acted as if he didn't belong. But w/ the exception of Gucci Mane also appearing on the track, the "Pretty Girls" song is hot. Especially since it has a local go go flavor --- including featuring Weensey of the Backyard Band on the hook.

i dont think race has anything to do with mos def being loved by hiphop fans.... the man is a lyrical lion and anyone who appreciates true hiphop can love what he does... it doesnt hurt that his style is very diverse... take my favorite mc.. immortal technique... not everyone can vibe with him because of his hardcore cotent and sometimes political viewpoints. but... needless to say he'd murder Jayz Lil Wayne or any other commercial rapper out there that claims they're the best... im suprised nobody has posted any BigL.. top 5 dead or alive!!!
