This like the 4rth thread about Ninja Assasin. Merge? Anyways, I saw a screening about over a year ago...and it sucked. That's probably why it took them so long to release it. Reshoots, or the magic of editing. They pretty much showed all the good parts on the trailer. Its too bad since I've been waiting over 3 years...they showed pictures previews and comic-con over around 3 years ago.

Yeah, that was the whole point. This movie was aimed at us 30' something year olds that grew up with 80's ninja movies (dudikoff and etc). It even had Sho in it! But dammit!! They ****ed it up big time..Rain was too feminine (ripped, but still too feminine) to be believable as a bad-ass Ninja. *Sigh*..its kinda like the punisher. THey ****ed it up 3 times now...the easiest Marvel character to do as a movie, and they ****ed it up 3 times!! WTF??!!
I thought it looked pretty cool. My gf wants to see it cuz of all the korean actors in it. Main actor is named "Rain" and has some pretty good korean songs.

they need to go ahead and make a ninja gaiden movie and do it right... i had a feeling all the good parts were shown in the trailers... the more and more clips i saw i was like wheres all the action.

That's where the problem is. It was very bad casting. He was just too girly for the part...they scarred up his whole body, but how fortunate his pretty face was left untouched. Personaly, I would have cast Takeshi Kaneshiro. Dude from Onimusha series...Again, I had high hopes for the movie...but was ultimately dissapointed us. The action was awesome, but it suffered from the "too dark to see anything" lighting. A shame, 'cause the choreography was pretty good (atleast judging from behind the scenes footage).
And those complaining about a Korean actor playing a japanese Ninja...well, the story is, the ninja clan kidnaps kids from all over the world to train. So you got white kids, brown kids, black kids and etc. Ok, maybe I'm being too harsh...I was just expecting more from the wachowskis and director james mctiegue (directed V for vendetta). It felt "cheap".

Even though I saw it about a year ago...and sucked major ass, I'm hoping with the magic of editing and special FX, that its salvageable. I'm gonna see it again anyways. Beginning was awesome..and then it turned into something you'd see on the Sci-Fi channel.
*Spoiler alert* As soon as the chick says that her heart is on the opposite side...we all know what the ending was going to be. Some ninja stabs her in the chest thinking he got the heart and yadadadada..you can see it from a mile away.
During the quistionair form...I put in: Lose the "wrong side heart" bit and just kill her, and it will be a much stronger ending/storyline. I hope they did...but I doubt it.
^^^ I filled out a screening questionaire once for the first Resident Evil. Told them to add the *click clack* sound for the notorious skinless dogs from the videogame. Don't know if they intended it, or had the same feedback but was happy the see it included in the finished product. Movie ended up being pretty good and entertaining.
Holy crap, this movie looks lame. Also, all the characters are Japanese but many of them are played by Koreans. Besides the fact that Koreans playing Japanese is a historical abomination, this just plays into a dumb stereotype.
For the last time, white people, black people, Latino people: WE DON'T ALL LOOK ALIKE.

A movie like this needs no plot or good acting.
