Looks absolutely incredible. Very solid cast for this genre of movie. Original plot and stunning visuals makes this a "must-see" at the local megaplex!
Saw this on Friday and thought it was entertaining. My only 3 major gripes are that 1) The lead role's name is Edward. Come on, really? Edward? For someone trying to make a vampire movie that shy's away from Twilight, they should've used a different name. 2) the vampires were no faster, stronger than humans. 3) The main car driven was a mint 2009 Chrysler 300 that sounded like the hoverboard from Back to the Future. It's supposed to be 10 years in the future yet they still drive a 300 that looks like it's off the lot..
Now most people I think will like this movie and is a nice change from the traditional vampire theme but there will be those who over analyze it and it will ruin the movie entirely. There were a lot of jumpy moments which I'm not usually into but it did add to the experience. Acting was decent I'd give it a 7.5 and the story, although originaly, wasn't that great so I'd give it a 6 and the cinematography was great with very cool shots like the lights flickering in the subway yet their eyes and smokes are still lit.. All in all a good movie but I'd keep it as a renter.

I'm so tired of these stupid vampire movies. The trailer made the film look like one of the worst films of all time. I'll wait for this one to come out on TV.
Not nec. my opinion but (like Low J) have wondered about this.

Forget everything you've read about vampires so far. The current bloodsucking trend, achieving maximum ferocity in November with the release of the sequel to Twilight, isn't about outsiders or immigrants or religion or even AIDS, as critics and bloggers have argued ad nauseam these past few months. There's a much better, simpler, more obvious explanation: Vampires have overwhelmed pop culture because young straight women want to have sex with gay men. Not all young straight women, of course, but many, if not most, of them.
This movie was really good. Finally a decent vampire movie. My only compliant is I wish they showed how all of humanity decided to get turned into vampires. Like who was vampire number 1.
