Just bought a Samsung LN46B650 and now I'm looking for a good streaming video player. I keep all of my video, music and photos on a Linux server in another room. I can access the files direct from the TV, but I've got probably 500 albums on the server and finding music with the built in TV interface is horrendously inefficient.
I was using an HTPC with Win 7 and Windows Media Center and I really like that interface. Prior to that I had MythTV installed, but I'd really like to get that big loud computer out of the TV room and install a tiny unobtrusive set top box with a good looking efficient interface that works well with a remote control.
Any Acer Aspire Revo 3610 nettop. You will have to come up with a solution for a remote as it doesn't include one but they are tiny, quite, & will give you that interface you like to access all your files off your server.
Plus it has HDMI & supports full HD. Oh, & it works just like a regular PC so you could use it to surf the net & stuff using your TV as the monitor.

That is an interesting option. I already have a media center remote from my previous HTPC. I wonder how quiet it really is. Perhaps I could swap an SSD into it. I've got to get the current HTPC out of the TV room though because it's loud and it seems to require 5000 cables to be connected to it.
I'm also looking at the WD TV Live and the LG BD390. Anyone here used either of these?
I have the 3610 & it is quite. You can upgrade the memory up to 4gb & replace the drive w/ any 2.5" drive of your choosing. Plus it has a tiny footprint.
