I'm really only interested in seeing who wins best picture, but here is a link to the rest of the nominations for the other categories should any of you be curious.
I'm pumped, but if Avatar wins Best Picture I'll be really disappointed.
Movies like Avatar don't win best picture, however, it's going to. There, I've called it; Avatar will win best picture. The only other Best Picture nominees I've seen are District 9 and Inglourious Basterds. Both were fukcing awesome, but I can't possibly see them beating Avatar. Can't say for the other nominees as I haven't seen them.
I knew that "Avatar" wasn't going to win Best Pic, the Academy never recognizes Sci-Fi films. As for the "Hurt Locker", it was a good movie but it was not great as in past War films (Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan). I thought "Avatar" should have won Cinematography and Sound mixing. Now Kathryn B has to live up to her Award by producing better movies than "Point Break" and "Strange Days".
