Movies like Avatar don't win best picture, however, it's going to. There, I've called it; Avatar will win best picture. The only other Best Picture nominees I've seen are District 9 and Inglourious Basterds. Both were fukcing awesome, but I can't possibly see them beating Avatar. Can't say for the other nominees as I haven't seen them.

Academy got it all wrong this year from Best Director, Best Picture, Best Male & Female!

Avatar has to be the most overrated film ever. Okay it had good graphics and visual effects, but that was it..

I am glad that UP got best soundtrack and animation, it definitely deserved it.

Avatar got clobbered by the Hurt Locker. Just as I expected. If it were any other way the members of the academy would lose all credibility.

And +100 on Avatar being only technically impressive. This movie has no substance compared to its competition.

I pegged every win last night except one, I didn't think Sandra was going to take it for Best Actress.

When Bigelow won for Best Director I got kinda nervous, thought Best Picture might have been going to Avatar.

I knew that "Avatar" wasn't going to win Best Pic, the Academy never recognizes Sci-Fi films. As for the "Hurt Locker", it was a good movie but it was not great as in past War films (Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan). I thought "Avatar" should have won Cinematography and Sound mixing. Now Kathryn B has to live up to her Award by producing better movies than "Point Break" and "Strange Days".
