Cool Z1 Motorsports recap of Occupy Modern 4

Z1 Motorsports recently had the opportunity to attend the Occupy Modern 4 event put on by the Carolina Z Club, and we’re glad that we made the trip. Joel Williams in his 300zx and Russ Rana in our 370z left from our shop in Carrollton, GA, Saturday morning in less than favorable weather to drive almost 4 hours to get to the hotel near Modern Nissan located in Cornelius, NC. After unloading items and enjoying the evening in Charlotte, Sunday morning rolled around, and it was time to make their way over to the event.

The morning was wet, windy, and cool, but the Carolina Z Club and Modern Nissan were well prepared to let the event begin in a very nice, paved lot. There was plenty of room thanks to the dealership paving more of their property, and graciously relocating their inventory to allow the event to spread out with the rapidly increasing number of entrants from previous years.

Even with the wet and soggy weather, over 120 entrants braved the elements, and started rolling in early. Some even came in from several hours away! These enthusiasts all came to join the fun, win some prizes, and have lunch together with others who also enjoy the passion to shift. If you were there, you would have been looking at so many gorgeous Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun vehicles of past to present. There even a few lost vehicles that were welcomed to join the event. We hope they’ll see the excitement of our community and find their way over to their very own Nissan, Infiniti, or Datsun.

Russ, Joel, and the team here at Z1 Motorsports would like to extend huge thanks to Brian Bray, Carolina Z Club, and Modern Nissan for allowing us to come out, display our current and upcoming products, give away prizes, and show our Z1 Motorsports 370z. Carolina Z Club worked hard to make the event run smoothly despite the inclement weather, and we are certainly glad we were able to attend the Occupy Modern event to support our community!

Special thanks goes to Tim Mundy for going out of his way to give us a helping hand.
