need help figuring out how to keep high energy for 3 or more hours...
i was training about 4 hours a day but since the weather has gotten so hot in az its dropped to about 3 and after about an hour my energy is done completely. i have a high carb diet but still never seem to have any extra energy. i eat very healthy as well, no soda or fast food.. i drink 2 weight gain shakes a day and was taking gakic hardcore before my workouts but now have some beta nox I'm going to try out... any ideas would be great. i dont care if i need to add a supplement or make changes in my diet, i just really want some extra energy damnit
oh and my schedule is 1 hour mma, 1 hour jits, 1 hour on the bags(or i hour weights) 5 days the one more day of weight training and cardio
i have been told that a few times however pro's, especially before a fight train more than that. thats what im shooting for so i figure i should train that much
haha, thanks mezinger, i will make sure and add that to my daily supplements
Based on what you're saying about the heat, if you're going to train that much, you need to increase your water intake and your carb intake a lot. Most people would be amazed how much more energy they have when properly hydrated. The problem is, to be properly hydrated with the level of your workouts, you're probably talking in excess of a gallon a day of water.

i can manage to drink that much and i have seen at gnc a complex carb powder for pretty cheap, i could just mix that in some water to drink during practice, thanks

When's your fight? I'm assuming all that training is for an upcoming bout.
it was scheduled for the 6th of june but it looks like its going to fall through, which is actually good for me being that im having some weight issues, anyways i will be ready in case but i doubt its going to happen. the plan as of right now is im going to train in thailand all of august and then have a fight in late september, as well as a possible fight or two in august while im in thailand. i do this sh!t for fun but at the same time my main objective is to hopefully really go somewhere with this. its looking promising anyway
i eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat a ton, and have a very specific diet, i driiiiiiiiiiiiiink about a gallon a day, and still my eeeeeennnnneeeeerrrrrrrggggggyyyyy is not where i would like it to be

its down a bit right now, im training about 3 hours and it might be a bit much haha, but as of right now my body is holding up pretty decent. if i get injured i rest properly but other than that i think my body can handle it.
how? i understand thats more than the average guy does, but looking at my goals and then looking at the training schedules of those who have reached my goal it doesn't seem like I'm over training. i want to/will be a professional mma fighter. other pro's train hours each day and if they were over doing it i assume there coaches would say so. my coach has a pretty impressive resume as well as a good list of pro fighters he has trained, he doesn't think i over train and he actually gets on my ass to train more. anyways I'm not saying your wrong, but please, if your so sure i am over training please give me a bit more info.
I hate to tell you this but most of those guys are on tons of chemicals.
What is your calorie intake?
I'm not exactly sure, plenty though. i eat a ton of food and on top of that I'm drinking weight gain shakes before and after practice. i eat very healthy but i eat a lot of everything. i am trying to put on some weight right now because I'm losing it pretty quick now that its summer, there is no a/c where i train, and its hot in phoenix... the fans dont do much. i take plenty of supplements vitamins etc. i take animal pak, omega 3 and glucosamine... I'm sure thats not the best combination, haha
Count your calories for a week. See where you are at. With the grueling training you are putting yourself through, you probably need around 6-7k cal a day.
